- Introduction From 1954 through 1968, Mr. Braun was the lead photographer for developer Joe Eichler and his Eichler Homes company, who created developments of innovative and affordable modern homes. “During the 14 years I photographed for Eichler, he and his staff were very enthusiastic about my ideas, and recognized that his simple and practical house designs needed the added warmth of showing people engaged with the architecture.”
